[Community Showcase] Naughty Dog sheds some light on The Last of Us
The last of us stars Joel, a middle-aged man, and Ellie, a teenaged girl. Both need to survive in a post-apocalyptic world that was struck with a plague.
Naughty Dog's 'The last of us' has been given a trailer at this year's VGA's hosted by Spike TV. From the trailer alone, people, including myself, began to speculate that this might be set in the Uncharted universe. It's definitely a plausible theory, what with the girl's name being Ellie. This could have meant she was the daughter of Nathan and Elena. Though, my theory now is that she's named Ellie because she looks like Ellen Page.
An official press release teaches us that the game is not set within said universe, and that it stars the heroic Joel, and the teen-aged girl Ellie.
Considering that it's Naughty Dog, I'm expecting great things from this game. I'm quite certain that it'll throw the entire genre on its head. At least, that's what I hope it'll do.

Yeah, I'm getting this game. ^_^ And I don't even like scary games.

There are some amazing scary games out there you are missing out on. And by "some" I really just mean Resident Evil 1-4 lol. Also Half-life 1 and 2 are supposed to be horror games, although most of the time the sci-fi/action is far more prominent than the horror and there are only a few scary moments throughout those games.

I wish Naughty Dog went into a more cartoonish route again. We won't be seeing Crash again...
