Court Rules Against Nintendo for 3D without Glasses on 3DS
Remember when former Sony Employee Seijiro Tomita sued Nintendo for the Glasses Free 3D tech in the 3DS? In New York City a federal Judge ruled against Nintendo awarding Tomita $30.2 Million in damages. This is obviously bad news for the 3DS handheld Nintendo is confident this won't affect the 3DS but still you never know with Patent Trolls these days. Kotaku had contacted Nintendo about the situation and Nintendo replied in the following.
Nintendo is confident that the result will be set aside. The jury's verdict will not impact Nintendo's continued sales in the United States of its highly acclaimed line of video game hardware, software and accessories, including the Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo has a long history of developing innovative products while respecting the intellectual property rights of others.
Soooooooooo wait a minute, although the Judge rules in favor for Tomita for his Patent.....while Nintendo is saying this ruling is not for the patent. I'm confused as all hell. But either way we do need to worry not just for Nintendo,Tomita succesfully sued Nintendo for his patent, who's to say he can go after Microsoft or hell his former Emplyers for his Patent.....ok I'm overlooking things but you never know when it comes to Patent Trolls.

This doesn't make sense, this guy doesn't own the patent, and Nintendo never said they own it, so what the hell?
