Crystal Dynamics working on a new IP
Crystal Dynamics, the developer behind the upcoming and “controversial” Tomb Raider reboot has recently posted a job listing, which hints at a new IP the studio appears to have in the works.
The listing says the studio is looking for an Animation Engineer who has experience working with “physics, 3D graphics/rendering, AI, player systems, cameras, networking and game tools."
It also says potential employees will be working with “a talented game team to develop and iterate on next-gen animation systems” and called the project "a cutting edge, original IP for future platforms.” There was also something about this being a third-person action adventure AAA title.
A new IP for next generation consoles eh? I wonder what it could be? Since the Crystal Dynamics team currently has its hands full with Tomb Raider, I think I’m going to be left wondering for quite a while.

So...
Why is the new Tomb Raider "controversial"? Because you actually have to aim this time , because of the darker approach or what?

It's because there's a rape scenario that you can "lose" in through a series of quick time events, and that seems to be the crutch of all "tough girls" in videos games. Rape somehow makes them deep.

I think because of the new approach of gameplay, which made it controversial to the fans of the series. leaving behind the traditional gameplay, so no more of those unrealistic somersault jumps or those stiff shooting style, they clearly went Uncharted with the new Tomb Raider, taking cover, picking up guns, dynamic camera, only thing missing with the new Lara are the sarcastic jokes.

Then uncharted would be contreversial

Controversial? Maybe the whole sex thingy but no swearing or showing nudity
