CS: Go details and Beta invites are available to all
Valve is trying to drum up a few more participants in the CS: GO closed Beta. If you are interested there is a simple survey Valve would like filled out on their Counter-Strike blog. Of course you will need Steam installed to open it. The survey seems to challenge your knowledge of the franchise but Valve assures us “there are no wrong answers to the survey questions".
This comes alongside a number of big changes in a recent update containing over 80 tweaks. Tweaks include reworks for classic maps like de_train and new weapons like the MP7 SMG. There have also been adjustments to in-game mechanics, such as the amount of recoil a player experiences while shooting a gun. To see all the changes, head over to the Counter-Strike blog. We don’t have an official release date yet, because Valve is actually using this Beta to makes significant changes.
When asked how long gamers will get to play the Beta, Valve's Chet Faliszek responded "When the community tells us. It ends when it's ready”. If you want to be a part of the voice of the Counter-Strike community, again go to the Counter-Strike blog. It is the only real way to make sure CS: GO is the best game it can possibly be. Here is a video from clayman90 showing off the Beta and here is that survey again.

Never played Counter Strike. I should probably give it a go one of these days.

That's what I got 10 hours ago and that's what I'm still getting when I try to open that link in Steam. What gives?

I can't seem to access the survey either... Time to start a conspiracy theory?
