Have you ever played the original Darksiders? The game combined action adventure gameplay with hack 'n slash elements. Its story evolved around a conflict between angels and demons, where the player takes control of one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Some inspiration for the gameplay seems to be from the Legend of Zelda and God of War franchises, although some other additions were added.

Darksiders II, an upcoming sequel which will let you play as Death, is coming out near the end of June this year for most major consoles. You can watch a trailer for the game by clicking here. For those of you who pre-order the game new, it looks like you might also be receiving a free bonus. THQ recently announced that anyone who pre-orders the game will be automatically upgraded to a limited edition, which includes some single-player downloadable content known as Argul's Tomb. That's about it so far regarding differences, but it's still pretty nice of them.
