Above all, I think it's a pretty good show, I mean for those of you who don't know it takes a lot of work and effort to make a tv show better yet to keep it on time, so for this to be fan made is pretty amazing, I mean people have tried before to continue GT through their own type of fan made ideas, people like AF and etc., but the story was never truly good or made since, or the characters were never in character, I mean it's pretty hard to spin off something as bad as GT, also considering that these guys doing Absalon aren't getting paid, and as for the backstory give it some time, they're not going to tell all their plans in the first episode, so give it a chance, although it could be better, no man can make something completely perfect, I bet you that this show will expand into something huge that we will remember for years to come!

I'm hoping for SSJ Pan

I think its really cool, they did a good job for a fan made series, I'll watch the next one too when it comes out, the plot actually looks like it could go somewhere good so far. like the music too

I don't think it is heavy on the melodrama at all, Dragonball Z and GT were much heavier on emotion rather than action. I think this mini-series has a pretty good balance and some reasonable connections that could made between the characters. I think this is a great idea or start of an even greater idea. maybe a REAL MOVIE. But all in all, I think this is great work.

the story is actually intriguing, but as others have already said, to much out of nowhere and not enough contextualization, the sound is off the whole time as the background music is louder than most characters voices, and the bunny eared enemy is just too annoying and takes effort to understand due to his voice's pitch. I just hope the creator aren't put down by all of this, it's dragonball we're talking about, of course people are demanding with it.

Too heavy on the melodrama, no back story on the existing characters (what else have they've been doing other than training, how and when did Pan learn the instant transmission, where's Videl, etc.) and nothing on the new ones (ther good ones, the bad one can come in at their own time, we need to know who the good ones are), don't know some of the characters because they are so radically different (this is why the first few episodes of an anime tend to be exposition), the voice acting was subpar (the Jar Jar Binks sounding character is jsut annoying), and the animation (which I assume will get better) is decent but will get some getting used to. The premise to the story seems ok but I will have to know how it all ties in to the rest of the story to say anything else on it. All in all, not a good first episode.

It will take a while to get use to the flash animation, but I'm surprised Toi animation hasn't come up to do Dragonball like this.
