EA accused of repacking last year’s FIFA 12 as FIFA 13 on Wii
EA might be overstepping a few boundaries when it comes to porting one of their most beloved sports franchises. FIFA 13 is being touted as the biggest launch in sports game history, but that won’t disguise the fact that some of the ports are pretty familiar. Specifically the Wii and PlayStation Vita ports, which are the same games at a higher price point.
FIFA 2013 on Wii is FIFA 2012, while on Vita it is FIFA Football; “same gameplay modes, character models, graphics, menu screens, dialogue.“ In response to the Wired article, EA “felt it was important to continue to offer fans the opportunity to play an authentic football experience on Wii”.
Why they chose to use nearly same modes and models has yet to be addressed, but it does feature a new soundtrack. So that’s totally worth $50. I bet this decision has nothing to do with Peter Moore’s recent quote about how “year on year, Wii has just dropped, and clearly we don’t make games for it anymore”. You know what? That’s fine; just don’t pretend you do simply for the money.

For me this is true for all versions. It's still soccer / rugby / whatever with ea sports game with sometimes a bit prettier graphics. Looks like this time they did not even do that for the Wii & Vita.

Was I the only person who knew about this? It was from last week and I bashed it on twitter. Watch for the WiiU one as well. FIFA on wii is a joke and Konami pushes PES more to Wii. FIFA 09 for a wii is the best cause of the kids 8v8 and it had gamecube controller support.
