EA is bringing Origin to Mac and you can test it with one game!

Origin is expanding to more platforms, now bringing your favorite EA games to Mac. Well, the platform is in a alpha state, running on Macs. Game wise they really don’t have much to offer at this time.
It will have all the same features as the PC version including cloud storage, auto-patching, and friends lists. Should you choose to install the alpha build, EA will give you a copy of Bookworm free. At least we know PopCap is keeping busy…

Giving a free game is OK. But if you really want people to think of you as something more than just a Steam clone, you really don't want to give out Bookworm as the introduction package. It's pathetic and it's insulting to people on Macs who want to start playing games.

Let's see.....Valve promoted Steam going to Mac by giving away Portal for free. EA gave away Bookworm. Not saying that game sucks or anything like that, but they reaaaaalllly have to do better than that.

Why are people pissing on Apple? Im a heavy pc gamer and I think the bigger point is that Origin is complete garbage. The only reason I have it installed is for Mass Effect 3. I have ME 1 and 2 on Steam along with just about every other PC game I have.
