Edd Gould, animator, has passed away

Edd Gould, a man behind some animated shorts you may have seen around the internet, has recently lost a years-long battle with cancer. His shorts were enjoyed by many (myself included), and judging by this video, he put a lot of work into it and cared deeply for it. He passed away on March 25, 2012. Here is a tribute video that goes into a little deeper details. He was a cool guy all around, and he will be missed by friends, family, and fans from all over.

I loved Edd's cartoons. They were a HUGE inspiration to me and always cheered me up, and I have been watching them a lot lately just for that very reason. I never met him in person (and wish I had) but he seemed to be a very genuine and humble fellow. I'm working on an animation in honor of this great man! :) RIP Edd Gould

WHAT!? First Solem, now Edd, I didn't even know he had cancer...I am so sad right now. His animations were awesome, always enjoyed his work. Gonna go watch em all! RIP Edd

I've been a fan of his stuff for going on three years now... Edd is gone. But through our hearts, he lives on through us. His family, friends, and fans will never forget him. Not until the end of the universe. We all love you, Edd. Goodbye.

NOOOO! His shorts always made me laugh. They said the cancer he had had a 60% chance of survival. Man, this just ruined my day. R.I.P. Edd Gould You will be missed greatly.
