Anonymous source tells all for "Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale"
Update: Leak has been confirmed as legitimate by PlayStation Blog.
There has been speculation abound regarding the roster for Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, but after the most recent rumor leaked, we received an anonymous tip from a reliable source regarding what is actually in the game. The roster list which leaked has been corroberated as our source says the following characters are in the build they have seen.
- Kratos
- Parappa the Rappa
- Fat Princess
- Sweet Tooth
- Radec
- Sly Cooper
- Nathan Drake
- Cole
- Ratchet
- Jak
- Evil Cole
- Big Daddy
- Dante
- Heihachi
- Nariko
- Raiden (MGS)
- Sackboy
- Sir Daniel
- Spike
- Toro
Keep in mind this is not a complete list of the final roster, only what has been seen. Sadly there is no Crash currently listed, but there is speculation from our source that the DLC characters could include: “Cloud Strife, Sora, Alex Mercer”, Minamoto Yoshitsune, or even a Soul Calibur character. Additional levels have been confirmed by the source as well and the full list includes:
- "Columbia" (BioShock Infinite)
- "Alden's Tower" (Infamous)
- "Invasion" (Killzone)
- "Sandover Village" (Jak and Daxter)
- "Paris" (Sly Cooper)
- "Black Rock Stadium" (Twisted Metal)
- "Hades" (God Of War)
- "San Francisco" (Resistance)
- "Metropolis" (Ratchet and Clank)
- "Dojo" (Parappa)
- "Stowaways" (Uncharted)
The last thing that blew our mind was how far off the rumor was regarding modes in the game. According to our source “there is no king of the hill, there is no capture the flag implemented yet nor have I heard talk of anything like that… LAN games were removed due to the amount of bugs submitted for it, no free roam as far as I have seen… And the Challenge, General and Character trials are being removed in order to be made into DLC”.
The best part is though, that the boss character has been revealed as none other than the Playstation One era Purple Polygon Man! Now that’s what I am talking about! So there you have it. We will not be 100% sure on any of this information until we see a response from Sony, but in the meantime, does this sound reasonable?

It comes out in a busy time for my money, so I probably won't get it until its a little cheaper. Assassin's Creed 3, Resident Evil 6, and my guess Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon is October.

This blog didn't confirm the DLC plans or the final boss (though I still think he's a big possibility) it only confirmed the characters and stages found within the beta, and guess what they already leaked those a few days prior. Meaning this "leak" has NOT been confirmed, hell this was even changed from saying this is the final roster to "Keep in mind this is not a complete list of the final roster" which just shows this "leak" was never 100% true in the first place. Look I'm not trying to beat up on Screwattack but going around claiming something has been "revealed" when it was an unconfirmed "leak and saying it's been confirmed when there's only an incredibly thin line supporting that claim just seems unproffesional.

THANK YOU! What was confirmed was everything that was found in the beta so the characters and stages are confirmed but everything else isn't and that is why I have such a big problem with this. I love you Screwattack but what you are doing is wrong.

Yeah, i have not seen on any other site rumors of modes being taken out and characters being used for DLC. still dont trust this "source" we will see in october if he is right about these "dlc plans" screwattack :p I noticed something else odd about this source. every level is supposed to be some sort of mash up and they only list one franchise per level. dunno if thats to keep us guessing or what

I agree. Unfortunately, I feel that ScrewAttack has been kind of... immature about this. That's not really the word I'm looking for, but I guess it works. They claimed these rumors were true, and now that the official blog has *hinted* at the fact that it may be true, and now they're boasting about having possibly correct leaked info. Not something to be all too proud of. *shrug*
