g1 Spotlight: Remastered
|g1 Woodyman||g1 JETZ.acx||g1 Darkseid|
Ahem. Testing! ONE-TWO-THREE
IT’S CLOBBERING TIME!!!!
I’m back, bitches. The Jetman, The Legendboy, The Imaginer – the man who finally comes out from the biggest hole of darkness and back to the spotlight to give you the best blogs chosen by yours truly and my researcher, Darkseid…whoa. No offense, but that guy…I gotta love him. Dunno, he has this…radiance…
*Shakes body off* Is it just me, or does he make anyone become gay for some reason? Oh, is it just me? Damn. Um, awkward…? Uh…CUE THE MUSIC!!
I don’t need to think of anyone who needs introduction when it comes to awesome music than JamesRonald and his awesome covers. This week we got some Final Fantasy love in the form of Cornelia’s Castle.
You gotta love it when someone goes for dream matches. g1 Mokuu goes for a What If scenario and simply jumbles up a bunch of characters that would fit in well with the PlayStation All Stars roster – even though they are not owned by Sony.
Everything’s going MEGA these days!!
Pokémon X and Y arguably jumped the shark with the newly announced Mega evolutions, and g1 A Zero 2 Hero is taking advantage of the recent uproar to rally up some g1s to see if they can come up with their own Mega evolutions. Go ahead, help him out!
Quick PSA for Twitch users
Get your settings up and running cuz Twitch is going strict into the CBR (Constant Bit Rate) evolution of their streaming policies. Starting September 1st, you will not be able to stream if they’re not properly setup. Don’t fret – g1streams has you covered.
DuckTales 2 Remastered?
That might just be a thing... or it might just be wild speculation brought on by a vague comment made by a Capcom employee. See for yourself in the forum thread.
Where's the wolf?
Telltale... (remember them) is making a new game called The Wolf Among Us, take a look at the trailer and discuss it. If you don't then a wolf will eat your grandma and then wear her clothes.
Oh, and Top 10 Most Gruesome Deaths in gaming. Fun fact – GT made one too, but you all know the one that matters is the one made by ScrewAttack.
Not a lot has been found this week, I’d guess. Oh well. Let’s get to it.
But quality over quantity is the g1 Spotlight motto.
The Zombie craze never ends…
I can’t shake off zombies. Well, neither can g1 Darkhyrulelord. After a g1 vote, he dives into The Walking Dead so he can do a Dark Review for all of you minions.
Um, is it or is it not your favorite?
Funny thing about g1 Overloading Toaster is that he hints that Dragon Age: Origins is his favorite game in the blog, but states in the title that it IS. Um, okay. Go read his review to find out if it is... or is it... or isn't it!
The right to exist
According to g1 dustballin, every gamer and game has a right to exist no matter what they mean or say. In the wake of the recent controversies concerning Dragon’s Crown and Ducktales Remastered (yeah, didn’t knew that game had any), he wrote this piece to share his opinion on the matter.
V for Vendetta? For Veronica? Or for…AHEM.
Most likely it’s the latter (fun fact: I can get three words out of a single body part in Spanish with the letter V. True story), but while you keep thinking about Vs, g1 KingSigy is thinking about what does it mean to have women in a Call of Duty game. Check it out.
And now for something COMPLETELY different…
Ever heard of Octodad? No? Me neither, well, not until I read g1 gear12’s insight about the reason why the game hits the right cords even if it’s rough around the edges. Don’t…try thinking too hard on the nature of this blog.
That one Regular Show episode…
Now this blog makes me wanna go watch The Regular Show and track down this episode! g1 Bygjuce goes on and relates his experience watching his favorite episode of the cartoon series, “Rage Against the TV”.
Um, I have to admit, I did had a bit of trouble filling this segment. I wanted to go do something Doctor Who ish cuz that's what I'm into these days, but nothing of quality showed up in my search bar. Instead, I went with a Top 10 since we're lacking in that department. And a Top 10 I did find, by none other than g1 bigjoe91. It was a popular one back then in March 2012 but I think it's a good idea to revisit it since we're in the topic of remastering. Here's the Top 10 Generator: Reasons to go Retro.
This one is a doozy, and I choose it for a particular reason: I can totally relate to this g1 with this story. But part of the reason why I choose an image-less blog over many is the way he told it in such a passionate manner.
And I don’t give a damn that his avatar is a re-color of Sonic the Hedgehog.
So yeah, g1 Emeraldsonic101 earns this week’s Pick of the Week with his writing of how second-handed stores are downright evil at times. Believe me, if any classic gamer out there hasn’t gone through what he went as he explains in this blog, then there’s a problem. Go read it, it’s pretty awesome.
My goodbye note will be short and sweet, since I’ve got an apartment to clean up and some clothes to send to the Laundromat – so lemme just say this: I’m not gonna pull any punches in the next following weeks. Whether it’s to bring back g1 Features to its former glory or simply doing livestreams out of nowhere, I’m here to stay. Now if you excuse me, I’ve got a basketball player to make an attorney out of.
JETZ.acx signing off!
There were, but they were either poorly written or already got spotlight treatment by the time I found them. Not much point in promoting something ScrewAttack themselves already promoted. The rest was news blogs, and...yeah.
I know for a fact there were more blogs than this around.
Looks fine to me. If there aren't blogs to be found, they can't be included. This was probably like my Spotlights, in that things from the front page won't be included. Or you know, we can always blame Darkseid, also a popular option.
Well, I'm in it, so it can't be all THAT bad :)
Urrr...not a very good one this week, guys.
