All the greatest g1 content from the week of 12/30 to 1/5
ME HEHE HA HA! Spoon and Salutations, g1s!
I hope you all had a wonderful time through these past holidays, but now it is time for myself (and my fiery g1 friend & fellow old man firehazard51) to bring you this week in g1 awesomeness!
Now roll the footage!

…
Oh right, it's a blog! Moving on~

While I would normally LOVE to start us off with a plethora of video game related musics... the pickings were sparse this week...
Not to fear, however, as that rockin' g1 with rockin' sideburns, JamesRonald, delivers us from musiclessness with an awesome FF7 guitar cover!

Alpha Unit dusts off & shows us some hand drawn comics he made in his youth... and I must say they're all pretty darn good. I wish I could draw this well, lol

While the picture shown is actually is from his DeviantArt profile (check it out as there is some pretty cool stuff there), Chaos15 gives us the 21st installment of My Little ScrewAttack. Ponies or not, it makes me lol. What more do you need?

Last in the art department, g1 Fandango gives us some awesome 3D art. If you dig it, you can check out some more right here!

Show some support
g1 renegadeangel is hosting a benefit stream for victims of some very recent fires, and wants YOUR help. You should show some support regardless, but they're even giving away prizes to donators! What other reasons do you need?
NOTE FROM WOODYMAN: I made it big because this is super important! Actually this is for a great cause so how about I just post the entire flyer here as well? Sounds good to me!

Two years in the driver's seat
That's how long g1 Debaser has been working to help make our g1 experience all that much better, be it on the forums or the main site. I personally think he's been doing a phenomenal job, but what do you think? Give him some love and/or feedback by visiting his blog or the forums. Go ahead, I'll wait right here...
That party in the woods
The g1 master of all things lumber, Woodyman, recently hosted another awesome end of year slash holiday party. What did you think? He would like to know, so go here and learn how you can let him know!
Sche-gaaaaaaaaaa!
While I am a Nintendo fanboy, I still love me some Sega (Streets of Rage & Vectorman are just plain awesome). Alpha Unit thinks so to (least I think~) but needs YOUR help in finding some of the best. Move along and let him know what your favorite Genesis & Master System games are!
Finding a place
Some g1s make videos, some write blogs, others do both. I personally just stalk around mostly ranting about spoons & eating pie, but that is just me. g1 Overloading Toaster on the other hand wants to contribute to this fine community, and is looking for advice & guidance. How can you help? By reading his blog, of course! Now get to it already!

How will you game?
With 2012 over (and the lack of the world ending), what better way to spend 2013 then with some video games? Join the discussion and let us know what your 2013 goals in gaming.
Indie Game Ahoy!
Darkth and his team are making an Indie Game and need your feedback! Hop on over to the forums and let him know what you think. I personally have to say that sprite art is top notch.

What does deadly snakes in your closet and the New Year Baby have to do with anything? I'm not entirely sure, but if that isn't your cup of tea, maybe their Top Ten Snow Levels is! Also, hurray for the re-launch of the SGC website! Now it's time to register yourself for the greatest gaming party of all time...

Let's not dilly-dally any longer... it is time for the feature presentation~
Onwards & Upwards!

Most of these weren't released this year...
Even is that is true, doesn't mean they weren't played. Therefore Mr. West counts down his Top Ten Games (played) in 2012.
That's THREE Tens to you!
The Windwaker makes a list of his favorite games, but can't contain it to just a paltry TEN. The answer? Top 30 of course! See what made the cut in this somewhat moderately oversized list.
Underrated & Under-appreciated
Next, psb123 counts his top ten picks for underrated fictional characters. Sometimes the best characters aren't all that well known, afterall.
1... 2... 5...
Taking a break from his work, g1 Warbot shows us his Top 5 games from 2012. Check it out and see if your favorite new releases made the list.

Comics are Magic
While I am personally going to stick to Marvel & DC over MLP, g1 Madhog thy Master none the less gives a spiffy little review on first issue of the My Little Pony comic. Now go watch and you might learn something about love & tolerance.
Better be back in time...
bigjoe91 certainly didn't waste any on this review. Fresh off of a his playthrough, we are brought a review of Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. Read on and learn his thoughts of this DS gem.
10 in 25
Following in a slew of 25th anniversary love, g1 MegaSilverX1 reviews the Megaman 10. Go on and read it already!

Sharing is Caring
Stealing & Plagiarism is NOT. While some people may think otherwise, logicallydashing looks at both sides of the issue; does posting someone else's videos on YouTube constitute as Sharing or Stealing? Check it out and let your views be known!

It was 64 before that was cool
Paradise and Fairies looks once again and some vintage gaming goodness in the Commodore 64. Watch this video and show your respect, youngins'.
Retrospective Plumbing
No one can deny Mario and his hand in shaping gaming as we know it today. g1 nicobbq takes a look at that in the first part of his retrospective on the Super Mario franchise.

Obligatory Holiday Greetings!
Better late then never, DRQ and BobboHead are joined by LousyTactician and DarkHyruleLord on Randumb to discuss the Christmas holidays... and get horribly off topic as usual. Give it a listen & laugh!

He has a long sword, that's for sure...
Love him or hate him, there's no denying Sephiroth makes one of the more interesting Final Fantasy Villains. What about when he was a hero, though? Jimmy96 looks at just that and what made ol' Sephy make the faceheel turn.
Humming along
g1 -Mazer starts us off with the first part of his look at some truly awesome video game theme music. Just click this to see what made it and let him know what you think should be next!

Woodyman here... I was tasked with finding something for the Time Shift this week because nothing old was reposted. Well that's okay because using my handy-dandy DeLorean I traveled back to 40 weeks ago and found something.
Now it's true the Wii U has already been released, but back when it was still a mystery... kinda... one g1 had the guts to tackle the gaming giant. That g1 was Atsinganoi and in his OFTEN misunderstood blog he took a look at the Top 5 Reasons Why Wii U Will Change Gaming Forever... were his predictions correct?

Not only are the guys from Hard4Games awesome & entertaining, they're also from the wonderful Mitten State of Michigan! Does that make me a biased? Maybe a bit, I won't lie, but that doesn't change the fact they're awesome & deserving of the pick of the week!!
This week those gents from the Great Lakes State review the twin stick shmup Big Sky Infinity. How does it stack up? Well watch it and find out. As an added bonus, learn how to drink like a true sir. (Disclaimer; you probably won't learn how to drink like a sir, but will be entertained none the less.)

Well ladies & gents, that has been your New Year's dose of the g1 Spotlight! Many thanks to firehazard51 for researching (like a boss), and Woodyman for allowing me (also like a boss) the opportunity once again to write this wonderful blog.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have a Mafia game to run and some holiday pie to stalk...

Cheers and see you all again soon!~

Finished reading/viewing all entries. Good stuff up there. Oh, and thanks for sharing the Randumb link too.
Madhog thy Master
I don't know about "Love and Tolerance", but I sure learned something about dealing with an invasion of evil shape-shifting zombies: "Shaun of the Dead" references are useful.
Fandango
Whoop, whoop, THANK YOU! :D
Mr. West
