Game Center CX Special Capcom Episode
This is something I'm going to need to explain before I post this video up in the blog post. This is Season 1 Episode 3 of Game Center CX with English Subtitles, this was in its infancy so to speak as the series was originally about Shinya Arino going to Game Companies and Interview various creators on a franchise and then does the then as a segment "Arino's Challenge" where Shinya Arino has to do either specific tasks or beat the game as a requirement in "Arino's Challenge".
In this episode Arino interviews various of Capcom's Creators in various franchises such as Resident Evil (Biohazard), Rock Man (Mega Man's Creator Keiji Inafune), and even Phoenix Wright . You'll even learn that even in Capcom's Infancy as a game company, the higher ups were still a bunch of ass holes. Don't believe me? Just watch this episode of Game Center CX and pay close attention to the Resident Evil Interview especially.

Just had to login to say that I love Game Center CX. Probably have watched all the subbed eps so far.

Capcom is just like every other game company. If they don't believe that some game doesn't make money why to release it. Who would want to make something what doesn't pay itself back?
ps: GameCenter CX is awesome!

Someone needs to share more of the Katcho on screwattack. The persistence of a bad gamer must be known by all!

Firstly its the Kacho, second he's not that bad at playing games, even in Japan their are exclusive Retro Games their that are just as insanely hard as games from Japan that got released in the West are. In fact Arino beat both Ninja Gaiden 1 and Battletoads...Yes BATTLETOADS Of all games he was able to beat.

I know man. I've watched every single translated episode thus far. He's still bad with games though, epically falling into game over hells that last hours. Don't forget that he didn't beat Ninja Gaiden without the help of 3 ADs, one of which was blocking the sun. He's also really bad at celebrating too early and letting go of the controller when he thinks a level is over. He's really bad, but we love him because he never gives up.

I couldn't really see the dick part either. I can understand why they didn't make some games and did make others. You can never be to sure in that industry.
The thing that really bothers me about Capcom these days is their uninspired efforts. It's like they're tired.

One of the dick moves the higher ups tried to do is they almost didn't make Resident Evil happen because they thought it wouldn't sell

While I understand your sentiment, please view it from a different perspective.
You're head of company in an unsure business, namely that of gaming. Making one game takes up a LOT of resources and time, not to name money. The only way to get that effort pay off is by making "hit" games. Of course there are all kinds of other things that come into the equasion, like if there's a market for that genre. Of course there has to be a gambling aspect somewhere, picking what games get green light and what doesn't. If you didn't get Resident Evil, you may have gotten another game series which may have been cool.

I do respect others opinions...though I will say this, alot of people in the youtube comments see most of the dick moves with Capcom in the Keiji Inafune Interview of how they wouldn't let Zero be the star of the X series and another thing which escapes me at the moment.
