After a long 14 years in development, Gearbox Software stepped up and released 2011's Duke Nukem Forever. However, Gearbox isn't quite ready to let Duke Nukem resign just yet.
In a recent interview with IGN, Gearbox's Randy Pitchford spoke about why he thinks Duke deserves another game...
"I willingly and lovingly acquired the brand. When I did that, I wasn't thinking that the only goal is just to make sure everyone could play Duke Nukem Forever... The real goal for me is I'd like to build a Duke Nukem game again"
Even though Gearbox picked up the brand to release a game that most expected to fail, Pitchford is excited to see what they could do with the series and explained that Duke's next game will be "a little different" than what we saw in Forever.
So, g1s what did you think? Are you looking forward to next installment in the Duke Nukem series? Or has Duke already had his chance? Let me know in the comments!

Oh Randy Pitchford can you do no wrong. Basically everything he does is great. A new Duke game made by Gearbox would be really cool.
And I am still holding out for Borderlands 2: Duke's Underdome Riot.

I would love to see this. I actually loved Forever.

Looks like the Duke actually was telling the truth when he joked about a sequel.

The next Duke Nukem game should be a new genre of shooter. Really fast pace and lots of pain. The man should like, get health from killing stuff and punt enemies across rooms.

well the good news is it really cant get any worse, it can only go up hill form DNF

As long as they bring Duke back to his DN:3D days, I'm okay with this. Hell, I would actually love to see a game that resmebles that 2001 trailer of Forever. That seriously looked awesome.

I'm entirely okay with this, even though I didn't enjoy DNF. I hope that whatever they do, it isn't cookie-cutter shooter mechanics and snarky Duke comments. Bring some substance to Duke, both in character and gameplay.
