The mascot legendary Pokemon's names have been revealed for Pokemon X & Y.
The Y-shaped bird is Yveltal.
The X-Shaped deer is Xerneas.

Xerneas is a good name but when it stands like that, it looks like a Y. what makes it an X? when it spreads it's legs out?

I think I'm missing something here. They're BOTH Y-shaped! Can someone tell me how that deer is an X shape so I can stop feeling like an idiot. :/

his pupil is shape like an X n their prob more but we will knoe more later

You can't see it in this picture, but Xerneas's eyes have X-shaped pupils. Plus his legs are blades and the shape X is, as far as I know, commonly associated with scars from blades and the like. Give them credit, though. It's pretty hard to come up with a good design with the letter X for the main body. In my opinion, they did well with what they had.
