Hooters, Snakes and chicken wings at Snake Eater press event
Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D will hit Japanese store shelves on Mar 8th, and to celebrate Konami has held a reception for the press...at Hooters Tokyo. Why Hooters? Because the Metal Gear Solid series always had its fair share of buxom beauties in the form of posters and books in it, so Konami decided it would be fitting to hold an event there. I'm guessing no-one complained with that logic.
Now, while this story certainly contains a lot of potential for immature jokes and puns about "solid snakes" and the "eaters" of such snakes, I'm going to do this professionally. Apart from showing off the game to the press and bribing them with delicious chicken wings, Konami also showed off some MGS-related swag and held a raffle where people could get their hands on said swag. Among these was a new piece of merchandise, dubbed "Original Camouflage Goods." What is it? Well...
I'm not sure where Konami got the technology from, but these are some A+ camouflage devices. Looks like there's been a leak in a military research facility.
Well, that's pretty much all there is to it. Check out the gallery for some pictures of the event and make sure to let us know what you think of the game (and the event) in the comments.

Konami certainly has their sense of humor...and that's pretty awesome.

Is there any reqson to get this when the Vita is getting this, MGS2 and Peace Walker for the same price?
Altair0115
You mean the Vita edition with MGS2 and MGS3.
The PSP version of Peace Walker will be compatible with Vita eventually.
Dr. Wondertainment
Nope. Its not the PsP version, its a remake of Peace Walker for the Vita, along with MGS2 and MGS3 (the substaqnce and Subsistence versions of both). You can tell because the Vita Version of Peace Walker natively uses two analog sticks, and has trophies.
Altair0115
I don't understand. The upcoming Metal Gear Solid HD Edition (according to the Transfarring notes on the PS3 version) on the Vita will include just MGS2 and MGS3, taking advantage of the feature.
If Peace Walker were to be included, it would be there clear as day. http://andriasang.com/comzvk/mgs_hd_vita_recording/
I still think the PSP version of Peace Walker will be compatible eventually, and will take advantage of Vita's dual analog sticks.
Dr. Wondertainment
Alright, fair enough, I made an assumption and was incorrect about it. I was wrong, you were right, and I apologise.
Still, I did think they would make the HD version available for the Vita instead of just upscaling the PsP version.
Altair0115
It's all good, brah. I just wanted to clear any confusion the both of us had.
True, it would've made more sense to make an HD version of Peace Walker for the Vita. But, at the very least, the controls will feel more comfortable on a handheld than they ever did before.

I'm no expert or anything, but I think people who don't own a Vita would have a pretty good reason for buying this.

There's a HOOTERS in Japan? I didn't know that.
Guess I know where I'm going next time I go to Japan.
