HyruleCraft to fuse the worlds of Ocarina of Time and Minecraft
Some highly dedicated fans of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time are currently working on a huge project which will make the vast world of the game a part of the world of Minecraft in a project they are calling HyruleCraft.
The crew at GenGames have released an alpha version of the HyruleCraft map, which is but a small sample of what they have planned for the project as a whole. According to their official site, HyruleCraft will eventually became a vast MMO experience filled with quests, epic dungeons, a cast of NPCs, free build zones, guilds, and more.
But for now, the project is merely a map. But it's a very nice, presents a glorious new vision of Hyrule rebuilt in lovely Minecraft pixelated blocks. Here's the trailer for the Alpha release so you can see for yourself:
This is definitely an interesting take on one of the most beloved games of all time, and I have to admit that the blocky, 64-bit aesthetic of MineCraft really fits Ocarina like a glove. But will this fan project built (block by block) with love, capture the imaginations of users the way in which the original N64 cart did all those years ago? Perhaps, but perhaps not. However, you really have to give the developers credit for creating this great tribute to an all-time classic.

Not having played Minecraft a lot, I ask: is there any other way, a mod tool or something, to build stuff other than stacking blocks one by one? 'cuz if there isn´t... WTF, do these guys sleep or what.

Wow, simply amazing, I've known about this minecraft project since the time the road to Zoras domain was posted on youtube, and it's amazing how far this project has leapt since then.
And this is probably where my parents would go commenting: "If only all that dedication would be directed at something worthwile". I'd say that this project is worth the dedication! :D
