This one is pretty recent but the theme of Bladewolf "I'm My Own Master Now (LQ-84I)" from Metal Gear Rising Revengance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMyXbdi4VGE This song got me so pumped when I was fighting him, especially during his final phase. And when I aced the fight, it felt incredible. I think any game like this should provide the rush and sense of accomplishment you get from battles like this.

I'd have to go with Otherworld and To Zanarkand from FFX. I'd spent a lot of time playing FFX and those two songs have always stuck prominently in my mind. They really set the mood for certain parts of the game.

You Will Know Our Names from Xenoblade Chronicles. It's my intro theme for countdowns, and for good reasons. It has that kick-ass feel that makes me want to charge into battle like nothing else.

One of my favorites is Live and Learn from Sonic Adventure II. The song by itself is great, but fighting the final boss to it was truly epic. It actually made you feel like you were putting all of your energy into saving the earth.
