Whether you wanna catch 'em all or not, you have to admit that some Pokemon can be pretty cute. And if you're the type of person who gets cavities and belly aches from too much cuteness you'd better hit that back-button on your browser now, because this upcoming collaboration is going to make you hurl rainbows.

Nintendo has teamed up with Japanese illustrator Okadamomo to create a batch of new Pokemon merchandise carrying his trademark style. Exactly what kind of merchandise will come out of this collaboration hasn't been announced yet, but we did get this promotional image:

The collaboration project is called Pokemomo and will invade Japanese stores starting August 11th. It probably won't be available for too long because when the cuteness finally reaches critical mass, we're all done for. But maybe the fabric of the universe can withstand the pressure long enough for the merchandise to reach Western shores? Time will tell.
