I can already see how the Wii U is only going to be slighty better than the PS3 and 360 and as soon as PS4 and 720 are released, Wii U software will be too outdated again ~.~ I would've put less tech in the controller (170$, wtf?) and more into the console itself, giving it something like 200GB of harddrive and at least 4GB RAM...their goal shouldn't be to be better than the last generation but to be at the top of the current gen ~.~

Are you an idiot? Wait I'll answer that. You are. 2 gigabytes of ram is INSANE for a gaming console, it's NOT a PC. It doesn't need a lot of ram. It's not running Windows and 500 other things in the background. The PS3 and 360 barely has 250 MEGABYTES of ram, 2 GIGS is enough. People need to stop being retarded and stop comparing gaming consoles to PCs.

And you gotta stop the rage o.O I get that I made a mistake, but that's no reason to insult me, dude...

Stupidity and ignorance is a good reason to insult someone when Google exists.

I don't think Nintendo's goal was to be better than today's console generation, but to produce the best new platform for the money. When the SNES came out, its processor was slightly slower than the Genesis, but the Genesis was completely eclipsed in every other spec. During the past few years of Wii U development, they've been constantly adjusting specs for hardware changes and compromises in order to balance price and performance. The only way I see both Microsoft and Sony putting out both a more powerful machine and a tablet controller is to charge $700. I know Sony is no stranger to that disastrous pricing and the PS3 had to be sold at below cost before they could profit from the bloody thing.

Makes sense, I guess...but I personally am still quite sceptical about the tablet controller in general. It might be innovative, yes, but just like with tablet PCs, I'm still looking for their right to exist. I'll wait and see what it can do and how it's going to be implemented in the games, but as for now...I simply prefer a plain controller, I'm a bit oldschool with that...I also never really got into the motion control with the Wii, whenever I got the chance I'd plug in the GC or Classic Controller and play with that^^

And now that I see the immense price of a single controller, I'm all the more sceptical. Now it really needs a very good use, something else than simply putting a map on it so you don't have to pause the game to see where you need to go, because that'd be one hell of an expensive map.

It's a touch screen, so there's a lot of functionality to be gained from that. I'm thinking it'd be like a high-powered DS experience. Plus, there's the ability to play the more simplistic games like New Super Mario Bros. U on just the tablet away from your TV if you want to be a bed slug or maybe you can use it as a web browser to look something up when your game is paused. My concern is losing the enjoyable swordplay that we got in Skyward Sword. Trying to swing that thing forward looks like it'd feel like shaking a baby instead of a sword.

I sincerely hope that they'll be using it like that...but you're right, they can't really use it for motion control because it'll be too clunky. But maybe it'll turn out all right. They said that their graphics will be at least slighty better than Xbox 360/PS3, so we can expect decent graphics plus an innovative system with motion control and touch screen controllers...as I said, I'll wait and see. I've been a Nintendo-Fan since I got my SNES plenty of years ago and I've always remained a fan...I know that I won't buy the Wii U at the release, but maybe when it's one or two years old and cheaper, I'll get myself one. Let's wait for the release and see what it can do (:
