Kid Icarus: Uprising bundled with 3DS accessory
I have been wondering why Kid Icarus: Uprising was delayed in coming out for the 3DS. It's a title I am extremely interested in and felt hurt the systems launch by being delayed. Now we may have discovered the culprit, or at least we found another lame excuse...
Yup, this piece of shit stand is being bundled with Kid Icarus: Uprising. According to designer Masahiro Sakurai's twitter, the stand was developed to help keep the 3DS steady when using the touch-screen. Apparently, my hands are not strong enough to bear the weight of the mighty 3DS. Throw on the Circle Pad Pro, then put the 3DS in this stand, and the "portable" part of the handheld is completely gone. I swear Nintendo is trying to fill my life with useless plastic peripherals. The Wii Balance Board says hello.
This has got to be the stupidest peripheral I've ever seen, for any system.
the stand is odd but the 3ds desperately needs that second circle pad badly
Its times like this, i wonder why nintendo choose not to include a second analog stick in the original 3ds desighn(instead of an add on). If you could aim with a second analoge stick, then you could place your right hand behind the system, to give the system more stability. Wich would make this add on complety unnessary(although you could just put the system against something else anyway).
But will it be compatible with the 3DS steering wheel?
One word... Speedboard. A.K.A. The most useless piece of plastic since 1991. http://gaming.wikia.com/wiki/Speedboard
NENTENDOW IS FUR QIDZ!!!!1!!
What? The Wii Balance Board is only plastic!??!?! fuck that sucks! Anyway, that peripherial sucks balls!...too. We've been using touch screens for 6 years now I mean... *sigh* how the heck can it be hard to use a touch screen, and in any case in some point we're going to lift that shit because we're gonna be holding it.
Really? Le sigh......
I don't mind the whole issue of it being a peripheral (after all,it's NOT required) but will it in anyway affect the pricing of the Kid Icarus?
Hello Balance Board. Hows the Vegas Dumb
Skyward Sword was bundled with a Wii remote plus. If that's anything to go by, you'll be able to buy the game on it's own.
Are many of you ignoring the fact that apparently this is being BUNDLED? So not only did this useless peripheral delay the game, but it's probably going to raise the price of it. Even if they don't raise the price for some reason, it's still a waste to delay a game just so you can bundle it with a peripheral. This thing's just a piece of plastic, sell the p.o.s. on it's own.
...doesn't this game use gyro controls? How do you do that when its attached to this thing?
Agreed, it can also be a good stand for touch only DS titles :P But yeah, pretty much all the Wii games I have a more of the gamer's game, you just have to look with your eyes and not your mouth.
You get tired holding a 3DS? No offense Sean, but if that's the case the circle pad is the least of your problems. Seriously, you gotta see a doctor. I for one support Nintendo trying to give an opportunity to people like myself who are part of a tragically underrepresented, underappreciated, forgotten, and frequently excluded minority (left handed people).
I think the article is mostly complaining about the delay of Kid Icarus, not the fact that this peripheral is being sold. It says that Kid Icarus MAY have been delayed because of it. And I think the fact that hardcore gamers look past the Wii is mostly because of it's motion controls. I'm not sure about you, but I REALLY do feel more comfortable with a simple controller. Nothing against it though.
Like so many others have already said... complaining about an OPTIONAL peripheral is pretty dumb. If you don't like it, then that's fine, but there's no reason to "blame" Nintendo for it. It's not like they're forcing you to use it.
Actually, this is kinda what bothers me about most "hardcore" gamers and their negative perception of the Wii in general. Nintendo made a bunch of casual games for the Wii, but they ALSO made a bunch of core hardcore games too. But the fans they can only see one thing and everytime a new casual game came out they'd be the first on the internet decrying the suckage of the Wii because everything is "CASUAL" and "NINTENDO IS ABANDONING US!"
Get over it.
IMO If you don't like it, dont use it, but if you like it, cool, then use it.
As long as we dont have to pay extra for it...
i really hate it when everyone moans about the peripherals. ffs no-one is forcing you, they are just trying to give a little extra to the ones that want it, show a little fucking appreciation for once.
