Kinect: Star Wars to feature dancing...with sexy results
With the sad departure of Star Wars Galaxies and of course all of the hype centered around Star Wars: The Old Republic, the franchise has been in the news a lot lately. But one upcoming video game entry in the saga hasn't been talked about for a while and that's Kinect: Star Wars.
Well, there's still not a whole lot to say about it other than a recent ESRB posting, which revealed that the game will contain the dance tournament, podracing, and lightsaber mini-games such as the developers previously promised.
However, the ESRB's description of the dance game is a bit interesting.
Huh? That's weird. I don't recall John Williams' music having any lyrics. So I guess the avatars dressed in Princess Leia's slave girl outfit won't get to dance to The Imperial March. Awwww man!
(*Shifts eyes*) Ummmmm.Ummm. I mean, Shame on you George Lucas for what you have reduced this once great franchise to. Shame! Shame! Shame!
Hey! Look at this!
(Insert Mark Hamill running away noise)
But seriously, the idea of the dance game does sound good for a few laughs and all but that and the added sex appeal is fairly stupid.
LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP~TI NEK! Rat a ran wim joct, co jappi qaff
Oh Luke, what are you going to do with that lightsaber?
I think that video broke my stupid-o-meter.
Give me stripes or Star War dancing.
OH GOD, NOOOOOOO!!!!
Jabba the Hutt in a bikini?
Star Wars died the moment all focus went into the cartoon series. The franchise is now all about being "hip" to attract a new generation.
Wasn't this supposed to be a kid's game?
i blame Jar Jar Binks
Do not get me wrong. I love hot women dishing out some sexy moves and slave Leia outfits. But this... The moment I heard "kinect", "Star Wars", and "sexy", I knew it was not going to be a nice match up. Just look at all the "move" games that managed to make the SAGY awards for the PS3. And the huge amount of discontent veterans had against the Wii's new "motion control" features. The world is telling you something developers! "Motion" and "video games" do not go together! Unless of course you are talking about Skyward Sword. Other than that, NO!
hell port that star wars arcade from sega and I might try out until then ehh.
... Oh, I get it. You play as a twi'lek in the mini-game. No idea why they'd say 'damn' or 'hell' though.
