King of Fighters XIII Climax announced
While King of Fighters XIII was pretty damn cool and let us forget about the lackluster KoF XII, no fighting game today is complete without its share of revisions and updates. That's why SNK-Playmore has announced King of Fighters XIII Climax for Arcades, an updated version that will feature "more content"...and unfortunately that's all we know about the game right now.
We are going to learn more on Feb 11th and 12th though, as local playtest sessions will be held in Akihabara and Osaka during that time. Here's hoping that the update will hit consoles as well. Until then, here's some art to tide you over:

From what details I have read, this looks to be just an updated port of the console version for the arcade. Basically bringing the console exclusive characters to the arcade versions themselves. Of course, most people don't READ comments or look into stories themselves, they just go "herp-de-derp... Double Dip!" On the other hand... it IS the King of Fighters series, you should expect a new KoF sometime next year or so. That being said, the new copy I ordered just came in and I have no qualms about picking it up! :)

*looks at art* Wow, Ashe looks so, so different with his hair down like that. Anyways, hopefully this will be like the "Arcade Edition" update for SSF4 in that it'll be both a disk AND downloadable update. Or if just one, a downloadable update.

Are you fucking kidding me? C'mon! I was actually going to buy this soon, but screw it. Might as well wait for the update.

Dude it's only(so far) a Arcade update with the console changes. You can relax.

An update for the arcades means the scene will live man, live! And this game deserves a good fighting game scene! If they add extra stuff the home ports, do not have, I expect a DLC patch for the home console eventually.

Well that's a first. DLC for an arcade game. It'll match the console version. I miss the good old days when companies would ship out a game 100% complete.
TheMikko
Wait, so you wish the home console version had less content than it now does?
kongk4
Climax propose(so far) is to update the arcade version with the console changes.
