League of Legends for Mac in Open Beta for all the Apple owners out there
League of Legends Mac port is in Open Beta for everyone to play now.
Riot Games announced today that their massively popular free-to-play game, League of Legends, is going into open beta on the Mac, making the game available to the 14% of people who have Macs in North America. This is not a massive marketshare, but given the Macs popularity for college students, it should at least attract that young "20-something" crowd to the game that may not play it actively anymore due to their Apple branded computer.
Here is a link to the Mac Open Beta Client so all of you on Macs, yup that means you too ScrewAttack crew, can go ahead and enjoy playing the game without the need of Boot Camp or Virtual Machines.

I always scoff when I hear gaming on Apple computers. Yea, I know steam is now apple-friendly, but a part of me still scoffs anyway.

I see them as two separate games neither of which I play.

What argument? You say something that flat out isn't true and expect there to be debate? Don't get me wrong. Not a fanboy. Don't play either game all that much. (hardcore RotMG player here) But even a casual player such as myself can see the massive difference in fun.

I was positive they already could.

So did I until this popped up in the news.
