A Little Cameo I Noticed In a Wreck It Ralph Screenshot

This is very unlike what I usually blog, but I figured I'd mention it anyway. Besides, if one were to look at my profile description on the right they would see that I will do something silly like this every once in a while.

I digress. Upon taking a closer look at this screenshot I noticed a particular iconic character in a notable game series. Can you see the two that I see?

Yes, it seems that Moogles from the Final Fantasy series will be making an appearance. This is probably the best case scenario as a representative from Square Enix given the film's tone. Another honorable mention is entry into the classic arcade game Burger Time can be seen.

I wonder where's Dr.Wily he was originally sitting next to Bowser and Zangief in one screen shot before it's trailer but was replaced by what ever the red demon was.

Even though I'm not of the opinion that Capcom has had it in for the Blue Bomber recently, I am curious of this change. Then again, it seems more like a design choice from those working on the film (i.e. Wily's scrawny stature compared to the hulking frames of Ralph, Bowser and Zangief.) rather than any intervention from Capcom, unless copyright issues sprung forth.

Don't expect these cameos to be for the majority of the film, they're just little shout outs before the film focuses on original worlds based around game genres for the sake of loving parody.

I understand. Still, I believe that if I am right then we'll see the moogles a bit closer. These cameos will at the very least be background shout-outs. I doubt any will play a pivotal role in the film.

There are far too many Spoonys, Yahtzees, and AVGNs out there. I offer a different kind of voice. While this blog won't be bereft of criticism, it will have a much more optimistic and less hostile tone than the aforementioned entertainers, no disrespect intended towards them.

What I hope to achieve with this blog is to find some insight and look into the narrative, characters, themes, and meanings that are within games. I seek to unearth the hidden value that this medium offers and the potential it has.

And occasionally something silly on a slow week.

My blogs tend to be relatively brief. This is simply due to my writing style I suppose. It may be due to the subject of which I am writing about in addition.

Currently, I am somewhat new to using HTML, so any constructive criticism, whether it be about my formatting or the content of my posts, is appreciated.
