One week after it was uncovered by French outlet Game Blog, Nintendo of Europe confirmed earlier today, a Mario Kart 8 Wii U bundle will in fact be released in the region when the game launches world-wide on May 30.
As Game Blog reported, a 32 GB Wii U Deluxe model, a one-week free trial of Wii Karaoke U, and of course, a copy of Mario Kart 8 will be packaged into the bundle. The initial report also had the bundle correctly pegged at a priced of €300/£250.
Nintendo is also giving its UK fans the opportunity to wear their Mario or Luigi colours proudly every time they dash through the Mario Kart 8 speedway...that is if they're willing to pay up an extra £50.
For a price of £300, gamers can pick up either the Team Mario or Team Luigi bundles, which on top of including the contents of the Mario Kart 8 Wii U bundle, will come packaged with a Mario or Luigi themed Wiimote and Wii Wheel, GamePad protector, and hat. The Mario Kart 8 Game Guide from PRIMA will be added in as a special gift.
The Team Mario and Team Luigi bundles will be available exclusively through the Nintendo UK website.
Nintendo has yet to confirm a release outside of the European territories but unless "The Big N" has formed some sort of money allergy, the main bundle will likely find its way into other regions. Seriously, it would be downright foolish not to launch this package internationally.
