Mario Kart turns 20!

7/6/12 2:00pm

On August 27, 1992, Super Mario Kart debuted in Japan to positive reviews as 'addictive' and 'incredible'. In that same year on September 1st, it made it across the pond to our homes, and we weren't disappointed. The modes we played have not changed since 1992.

Grand Prix and Time Trial survived the test of time as well as the difficulty levels 50cc-150cc. Out of all the tracks that were raced on, the two that survive to this day are Bowser's Castle and Rainbow Road from the Special Cup. Fans everywhere are going to be celebrating this anniversary in all kinds of ways; the best of which is racing each other on these games. How will you celebrate?
