Mega Man Legends weapon design contest is open to public
Hey remember how pissed off the world was at Capcom about Mega Man Legends 3? Well that hasn’t really changed all that much. There is still a campaign to get a 100,000 Facebook likes and rescind Capcom’s decision to cancel MML3, but after a year it is sitting at around 64,000. Organizers realize this and would like to reach their goal, so they have decided to hold a contest.
Capcom-Unity Devroom members will be able to enter the "Get a Weapon! The Mega Man Legends Weapon Contest” and here are the rules:
- Design a cool, useful, and unique weapon for Mega Man Volnutt's arm
- Render it in any medium, from 3D modeling to clay to written word.
- As long as you are over 18 (13 for the US) and living in the US, Canada, or UK, you can submit up to three entries here from now until March 29.
If you are lucky enough to win, then you will receive either Legends Perler Bead sprites, a copy of the Mega Man Tribute art book, or a spiffy Mega Man Volnutt figurine with the winning weapon as a custom attachment. Don't know if this contest is still open or not but there are still better graphic designers who can do this job in better way. By the way opening a contest like this for a company logo design is great idea.

Management took a nice initiative for opening this contest of custom logo design in public. Everyone can now feature in this concept. I hope to feature in this also.

Look first. No one cares about Facebook. So I don't think we should look at the 100,000 strong thing as a bad example. It was never going to get that high because it's Facebook. Why would I waist my time?

Agreed, I'd gladly sign a petition or donate money or whatever if it wasn't on facebook. I don't even have a facebook anymore.
