Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance getting DLC

During an interview with Game Trailers, Platinum Games producer Yuji Korekado seemed to imply that Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance would have DLC and may include additional characters. This is of course relayed via his translator, but the implications remain the same.
“We do have some plans for download content for after the release of the game, that will maybe let you play as a different character or experience different types of missions."
Sounds great! Personally, it would be awesome to be able to play as Grey Fox, but I am going to also root for Otacon. I have posted the video below, but with so few details, who you would want as a playable character in Rising?

Why are people asking "Konami too?" when it comes to adding post-launch DLC? Several of their current titles have DLC, though it mostly goes unnoticed. In fact, MGS3: Subsistence and MGS4 had DLC (Camo in MGS3, Camo and iPod tracks in MGS4, and characters and maps in MGO).

A question for everyone: I'm a long-term Metal Gear Solid player, and am a fan of the franchise for it's stealth gameplay and storyline. So far, MGSR:R has had no appeal to me, and looks to join the pile with Metal Gear AC!D.
Will you be buying MGSR:R? Why?

Yes I will be getting Metal Gear RISING for cyborg ninja gameplay, and then I will play Metal Gear SOLID for tactical espionage action (stealth gameplay) Its a spin-off and not part of the SOLID series, but IS part of the Metal Gear universe. Come on man haven't you wanted to play a cyborg ninja since seeing Gray Fox in MGS original?

I did, back when Gray Fox was still relevant to the series. Since then Olga Gurlukovich, Arsenal Tengu, Solidus, the FROGs, Vamp and Raiden have made his appeal less unique.
I suppose I'm just surprised that they've done nothing so far to draw on the series previous strengths, such as good storytelling.
