I already have Smartglass installed on my phone and I must say it's completely different from it's previous version (Xbox Companion) the UI changed, can do Xbox search and of course the built-in "game enhancement" controls whatever they call it. Other than that it's pretty much Xbox Companion...

That's not what Major Nelson said....and I'm reading directly from the horse's mouth.

My mistake since I only got the news from Destructoid and they've corrected their article recently since before it had the line about possible support for other devices.

So... Not coming to iOS or Android at all? Or did I misinterpret this?

I think there's some misinformation out there. Here is the compatibility list from the Xbox SmartGlass page: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/smartglass#get-smartglass Hope it doesn't suck.

I appreciate innovative ideas and stuff, but its lack of compatibility with 99% of what the 360 can do means that it'll be underused.

Sounds like something Sony and their devvers fucked up on.

I mean, seriously - is it really THAT hard for developers to implement Remote Play-ability for PS3 games on Vita (where it makes sense)? One of these days I'd love to play some PS3 JRPGs on my Vita (even though they'll look like shit).

Halo Waypoint seemed like more of an app to me than anything else but I only remember downloading it when I was told to if I wanted some piece of armor. I don't think I've actually checked it in a few years....
