Microsoft rolls out 'Season Pass Guarantee' for Xbox 360 and Xbox One
If you’re a fan of season passes for your favorite games, you may want to listen in on what Microsoft is willing to offer.
In a press release by Xbox, there will be a new feature titled “Season Pass Guarantee,” which will allow purchasers of a season pass for the Xbox 360 to easily transfer the existing pass onto Xbox One. The only inconvenience for this is to purchase the game for both Xbox 360 and Xbox One, but luckily it does not require you to purchase a season pass for both consoles.
So far, the only announced titles for this program is Call of Duty: Ghosts and Battlefield 4. Publishers announced for this program are Activision, Electronic Arts, and Ubisoft, despite not having an announced title as of yet. No official word was given by Microsoft on which Ubisoft game will be supported in the program at the time of writing, though it is likely to be the highly anticipated Watch_Dogs.
This process should help ease some minds a bit more in terms or a transition into Xbox One and ease the fears of possibly wasting a season pass.
Like Sly 4 and Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale?
I'd prefer a cross buy system on games before cross buy on DLC.
Well those also tend to be the people with the financial means to do it
Yeah unfortunately, people are that just that damn impatient. That really drives me crazy sometimes.
The 360 version comes out on November 5th and I'm predicting the Xbox One will launch the Tuesday before Black Friday, so that would most likely be November 26th. There undoubtedly will be customers that want the new hotness and upgrade the game in the process. I saw this a lot with people with the original Xbox going to the 360 with CoD2 back in 2005.
well thats good news...though why do we need to buy the game twice?
