Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter adds new stretch goals
For those of you who have been following the Kickstarter for Keiji Inafune's Mega Man successor, Mighty No. 9, your current thoughts are probably fixed on getting to the coveted stretch goal of 2.2 million in order for the game to receive support for a console release. Well today the team at Comcept have updated the project's stretch goals to include some more potential goodies.
As can be seen from the image above, five new stretch goals have been revealed, with three others to be revealed at a later date.
- The Boss Rush mode should be self explanatory.
- The Challenge Mode will function like the one in New Super Mario Bros. U in that it will feature remixed portions of the normal stages with a specific goal to achieve.
- The Beck & Call Online Co-op Challenge Mode is similar to the regular Challenge Mode but with an emphasis on using both characters unique abilities to progress.
But the real big news is the final stretch goal at 3.3 million, which will secure the game a place on both the PS4 and Xbone.
While the donation rush has seemingly ended, there is still a little over 3 weeks left in the Kickstarter to go. With the chance of a next gen release, I can see the potential for another rush on the way, especially toward the end. What do you all think?
this game is gonna to be awesome for what I see so far I even here thr theme song and think is awesome, well I wasn't expect less for the team that make the original Megaman on NES
That's true. I forgot about the rewards and was just about to blindly toss money at the screen. Might as well chip in the extra dollars since I'm already this invested in the game.
At least put in $60 for the all-digital reward package. It's probably the best deal considering all the cool extras you get.
The update about these new stretch goals clarified that the ??? goals are not handheld versions, but some form of in-game content. My guess is that at least one of them will be a single-player Call campaign. They did say they are considering handheld versions and that there is a chance they will bring out handheld versions via some other means besides another stretch goal.
Honestly I hope they can push beyond our expectations.
I just hope that one of those ??? is a handheld version
I wish Angry Joe would do a video on this with his Corporate Commander character seeing this and going crazy. That would be funny as hell.
CO-OP??!?!? I just sent you guys $20! Now I won't be able to sleep until I crank out another $50 or so.
also bumped my pledge up to $65
As of this comment, we are about $34,000 from boss rush mode.
Capcom, take notes. Seriously, you're really missing out.
They have said it's possible they'll make it as it has been highly requested. They might do it without it being one of the stretch goals, but that is to be determined later
All this money could have been yours capcom. But you fucked it up.
We gotta at least make it to the Co-op mode stretch. Don't think there's ever been such a mode in a Mega Man styled game before and it would be a great way for the game to make a name for itself in it's own right.
Tell others about the kickstarter then! Those who would be interested, that is.
I hope it breaks all stretch goal, would love to see capcom face " Not a Market for it" Huh... "Fans don't want it enough" HUH??? Well seems fans are proving ya wrong.
I wouldn't mind an end-game extra stage & bonus boss, but I have already contributed, and I only have so much money left that I can spare right now :/
no psv/3ds goal? :(
That last one about the X1 and Ps4... smart move... They'll make it.
