Miyamoto confirms that Mario Wii U will be at E3
In an interview with Spanish newspaper El Mundo (thanks NeoGAF!), Miyamoto has revealed that a new Mario game will be coming to Wii U and we might get to see it at E3. No one can confirm if this is related to the Super Mario 4 trademark, but what better way to move a new piece of hardware than with the sequel to a legendary piece of software. In addition to Mario, Miyamoto also had hopes of Wii Music finding an audience.

“It is always sad that something is not sold as well as expected. I think these negative experiences on a project is a thorn that is stuck, so we usually try to work the best idea or at least take it up and concretize it from an angle different for use in another title.”

Maybe if you could include Ravi Drums with each purchase of Wii Music II, that might help sell a few units.

Calling the game Mario 4 just seems like a way to give the game more attention, when really there have already been several games returning mario to his roots.

Ravi Drums, best thing E3 has seen since the Saturn release.
