Miyamoto's new IP is still a long way off
After a misunderstanding over at Wired last year sparked the rumor that Shigeru Miyamoto was retiring, we have learned that he's looking to create new IPs with a small team of newer developers. A couple of days ago, he announced that he was working on an "original title" along with Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and Pikmin 3...but unfortunately, that title didn't show up at this year's E3 in any way, shape or form. And it might be quite a while longer until we'll finally be able to catch a glimpse of what he's cooking up inside that magnificient brain of his.
In an interview with Joystiq, he said that he's just too busy at the moment to realize his ideas:
At least he's already begun working on some storyboards, which he creates using Flipnote Studio like a true Nintendo patriot.
I have a theory that maybe he just might try his hand at a darker "non-Nintendo-esq" type of game. The reason I think that is because "most" of what he has done has been all sunshine and rainbows and I loved it, but it would be nice to see something from the dark corners of Miyamoto mind. lol thoughts?
It won't happen that. What will happen is that the Sony device will turn into a Nintendo Device!
So here's to next years E3 *cheers*
Don't be ridiculous. It would hiss like an angry cat and claw at his face.
I wonder what would happen if you put a Sony device in his hands? It would probably catch fire.
Until next year's E3!
