To The Moon flying to the Steam service

4/18/12 2:03pm

On November 2011, an indie company called Freebird Games released a strong narrative game titled To The Moon. The retro-styled game combines adventure and role-playing elements to create an emotionally moving story about memory, experience, and tragedy along with other themes. You can check out the official website for a more detailed introduction to the story.

This is an announcement trailer for the game. There is a heavy narrative focus.

According to Ken Gao, the lead developer of the indie title, To The Moon will now be heading to the Steam service in the next few months. Previously it had only been available for sale on the company's website, and this new announcement should help with the sales numbers. Steam cloud saving will not be available, but the service may allow for some new additions such as achievements.

But wait, there's some more good news. Ken Gao posted on his Twitter that anyone who previously purchased the game from the website will receive a Steam copy for free. Hooray for free bonus copies!
