Mortal Kombat: Legacy has been renewed for Season 2
Director/Producer, Kevin Tancharoen has announced that the Warner Bros. and NetherRealm backed live-action Mortal Kombat series, Mortal Kombat: Legacy will be returning to Machinima for a second season.
Tancharoen said with all of the set-up and origin stories out of the way, the series will finally be 100% focused on the Mortal Kombat Tournament!
He would present the season’s entire roster but rather than write out the full list, I think I’ll just provide the announcement video below. You should watch it. It’s actually quite funny.
All of the scripts have been written but we don't know if all of the original members will be returning or even when the first episode will air. Hell, we don't even if they started filming. So the "soon" in Coming Soon, could be fairly distant.
But the tournament focus and the promise of more action should make Season 2 well worth the wait.

..........No Reptile....I am sad now.....but hey Kenshi is cool though I have to wonder so far a lot of it is true to the mortal kombat lore does that mean Liu Kang guaranteed the final win?

Wow, pretty hefty rooster. The one character that really surprised me was that Kenshi was going to be in this. 0-0
Anyways, I really loved Season 1 of the webseries, and I'm psyched for season 2 and its incarnation of the tournament.
It will be like the movie, expect that we'll ACTUALLY get gore and blood (AS MK SHOULD BE SHOWN >:U), and a more accurate telling of the stories from the games' canon.

Bummer Sektor and Cyrax are not going to be in it, but understandable if you look at the MK timeline...
I am still very much psyched for another season of this, I hope it'll be great!

Web series was actually pretty good. I'm also glad season 2 won't be more origin stories but will be focusing on the MK tournament instead which I hope turns out great.
