Have you ever played Hitman and thought to yourself, “this would be way better if Agent 47 was a monkey”? If you said yes, or are at the very least intrigued by the thought of a gun-touting monkey hitman … er hitsimian, this next story is for you.  

High Moon Studios, the development team behind the recent Transformers games has acquired the license to develop a game based on Marvel’s lesser known comic series Hit-Monkey, which tells the tale of a Japanese Macaque, who is avenging his fallen clan by becoming a slayer of assassins.

Besides a mysterious teaser site that appeared on the web yesterday, there’s nothing else to say about the project, although it’s heavily suspected that it will be officially revealed during the Marvel Video Games panel at Comic Con next week.  

Hit-Monkey  is currently being teased for a 2013 release.
