Despite being based off an anime, I've actually been hearing good things about this fighting game series. This new one looks a little bit interesting.

Budokai HD Collection w/o Budokai 2?....What kind of collection is this!?

I love Budokai 3 & all, but the removal of combo-based capsules (blue capsules) & Utlimate Ki techniques turned into one hit moves, instead of the awesome pre-combo - to -> special ignition attack into Ultimate special move from the earlier Budokai 1 & 2 (this mechanic made it awesome for Mind-games in matches), was a little bit of a turn-off.

Anyhow, I wish they would include the PSP versions in HD remastered format for the PS3/X360...Those games had amazing fighting mechanics!!!! Imo, better than all other Budokais, even more than Budokai 3, (sans the Tenkaichi series & gorgeous cinematics) & completely underrated at that too.

Having missed my copies of the Budokai series, I'm actually excited to replay them again! What perplexes me is the absence of Budokai 2!

it's not a collection if u leaving out the one in the middle, also doesn't every game pretty much have the same shit as the previous installment plus some more?

Unnecessary, graphics don't look improved at all (probably only applicable to Budokai b/c they went cell-shaded), and Budokai 3 is the same as Budokai 1 except a little more (each game you had to play from Saiyan saga through Cell, but in 3 you get Buu, GT, and some movie storyline). BIG DBZ fan, but I just don't anticipate this doing well. And the trailer itself? Just the opening to Budokai 3.... nothing original. Bleh.

I was excited at first but then I saw the Graphics that look completely unchanged so I'm going to pass.

No offense, but totally unneeded. I still own Budokai 3, and have owned the other titles. Budokai 3 is by far the best DBZ game ever made, and while it is perhaps cool for people who missed out on this, I don't think it's needed.

What a shame. Liked Budokai 2 the most and appreciated even more after having played 3. Might be b/c i just don't like GT because Toriyama wasn't much involved in it except for "art director"

This HD remake should actually contain all three of them where as the DMC remake should have left the second one out. I think Capcom and Namco somehow got the wrong letters.
