Namco Bandai has announced a rather pleasant surprise for all of you North American PS3 owners who have been enchanted by the wondrously colorful world of Ni No Kuni.
The publisher sent out a press release earlier today revealing a new familiar (the Pokemonesque creatures who aid the heroes in battle) for players to level up and take along for the story’s fantastical ride.
This new familiar is the cuddly little reptile Draggle, who was originally thought to be a Japanese and European exclusive. How much will adorable companion/assist character cost you? Nothing. That’s right! Namco says Draggle will be available for all North American players via the PlayStation Store on February 12 as a free gift.
This is certainly a great use of DLC. Wouldn’t you agree g1s?
If you're still on the fence about picking up
Ni No Kuni, might I suggest giving
Sam's review of the game a gander?

I love Ni no Kuni, and this is a nice surprise to me. Namco Bandai is still trying to make up for the Wizard Edition debacle.

That was a dead Charizard on the posts icon... No fire on the tail.

Given that it is only a companion, it is really hard to get excited about it but it is free no reason to complain about it.

Don't let EA find out, they will burn Level 5 and Namco Bandai for Witchcraft
