NeoGAF uncovers “rough demo” of unofficially announced Ubisoft project Osiris

1/30/13 4:00pm

There was a hint at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference that there may be a new Prince of Persia in the works, but those rumors have already been debunked. So it comes as a surprise the Ubisoft’s next project from their Montreal office is something called Osiris. Here is some footage of a few mocap sessions, art, and title cards being billed as a “rough demo”

While it isn’t much to go on, coming from the studio behind Assassin’s Creed, I could speculate for days. The header image looks like the same engine as past Assassin’s Creed games, but the various concept art of an insect plague, earthquake, and various Egyptian themes might point to something else. NeoGAF is also quick to point out how similar the title cards are from the demo real and E3 presentation. We will follow this project as the story develops.

Hmm....most interesting. I would certainly look forward to an Egypt kind of game.

Well, they need a break from Assassins Creed, and PoP is a franchise that they just beat down until it was black and blue. I think that this will be one of the "end of console cycle" games that is just so damned awesome. This and Last of Us might be some keepers. I guess im speculating, since no gameplay has been shown, but still.

Watching the trailer in this form was actually really cool and interesting, more intrigued than I would be from the actual trailer most likely.
