Netflix catches a pair of animated Pokemon seasons and movies

3/1/14 10:20am

Amongst its other mediums, the Pokemon franchise has undoubtedly found a home in animation, as the show has breathed life into the series since 1997. Now, however, Pokemaniacs can finally experience or re-experience the adventure though the streaming service, Netflix.

Starting March 1 the service will be offering the show’s very first season and 1999’s Pokemon: Indigo League, along with the feature-length Pokemon the Movie: Black and Pokemon the Movie: White as well.

This will mark Pokemon’s first appearance on the almost 30-million subscribed service. While the Pokemon Company did announce this, depending on the success, could we possibly see other animated series based off Nintendo IP, such as The Super Mario Bros. Super Show hit Netflix?
