New BioShock enemy is a death dealing president

3/9/12 5:00pm

Remember the dread you felt when you first fought Big Daddy from BioShock 1? Or when Big Sister from BioShock 2 showed up? One of the reasons why those moments were so awesome was because their design was scary and you had no idea what to do when fighting them.

Now imagine that same dread when the enemy you face happens to be the first President of the United States of America!

This type of enemy will be called The Motorized Patriot but what is also interesting is that he is not alone. He belongs in a group of enemies called the Heavy Hitters which like Big Daddy will shake things up. Too bad that this game takes place before WW2 though, I would have loved to see Franklin D. Roosevelt as a death tank.

Abe Lincoln vampire hunter and now Metal George Washington. Is this a new trend?

Not counting Assassin's Creed III, this now makes it back to back years where George Washington randomly appears in a game.

Doesn't he also appear in Civilization 5?

In Civ's 5 defense, it would make a lot of sense for why he'd be in it given the historic settings and timelines. Same for an Age of Empires game or games taking place during the 1700s like Assassin's Creed III.

This one would be more random considering the timeline when Bioshock takes place and something not expected even in robotic form.

What a bizarre trend in video games. He was also in The Conduit 2.

And I think the newest Sam and Max games as well.

Actually, scratch that. This takes place in 1927, right? If they include Robo Teddy Roosevelt, we're all REALLY fucked.
