New Call of Duty game slated for 2012
Surprising absolutely nobody, Activision confirmed that there will be a new Call of Duty game in 2012. This time it'll be Treyarch returning to develop it and it will probably be launching the same time next year.
Could they be working on a sequel to Black Ops? Does anybody really care?
In related news, Treyarch has been looking to employ engineers to bring its "hugely successful game to a new console." Sounds suspicious! Hey, doesn't Nintendo have a new console coming out? Hmmm...
Yeah, I made it in Photoshop. Thanks.
And still, the masses will lineup day 1 to buy it and the reviewers will all praise it for being the greatest game ever made.
I hope so, that's the only thing fun about call of duty. That and stabbing people in gun game.
I still believe in Pluto!
this is not news, almost a year ago treyarch said they were going to work on the next call of duty game, so this is old news
As much as I love Capcom for their older games, they were one of the first companies to do this when they made all those versions of Street Fighter II. It was just ridiculous. Now it seems like they're doing it again with Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
As much as I don't like it, I don't & can't blame them. If people are dumb enough to buy slight variations of the same thing over & over again, then good for them. It sucks for gamers who get tired of the same thing over & over again though. I never played a single CoD game so I don't know how much variation there is between those games, but I never bought any of those SF2 "clones" or those countless yearly EA sports games (I only own the original FIFA Soccer on the Sega CD) & I never will. For me the FPS genre is what the fighting game genre was in the 90's---a genre that saturated the market & gives gamers less variation of other genres. It would be better if Activision just made the series an MMO FPS where they charge players for server costs & occasional releases of new maps without yearly launches.
I initially thought it was just a coincidence that it looked like Jared, but now that you mention it, it must be a photoshop. I saw that Jared even used it in Hard News. I wish he would have commented on it though. Whoever did it did an awesome job.
Whoever did that picture is a legend.
so let me get this straight. people pay 60 dollars for a plastic case containing the same game they just bought a few months ago?
Is this news? there is one every year -_-
Cod games are like computers and cars, the minute you buy one, it's obsolete. Hence, play something else. Maybe people would stop hating on it so much if they didn't know that there was gonna be a new one 3.6 seconds down the road after stupid announcements like this from the joke that is activision. But Skyrim is coming out this week, so what the hell is call of duty anyway?
And in other news, air helps you live, there are 8 planets currently in our solar system, and the sky is blue in sunny days.
Ubisoft announced a new Assassin's Creed next year almost a week before Revelations is even released. No surprise from either one.
geez mw3 has been out for 2 days and they already announce the next one....they must really like our $$ well they need to bring back the playercard emblems i love making shit
Man, the cynicism is so palpable on the internet you can almost taste it. You guys are harshing my mellow. Peace.
It really isn't that much more complicated than "gamers are being treated like sheep, and the bulk have proven that they're so stupid they deserve to be."
I think I just heard a small pelt when this went up.... Yep it was the sound of a million facepalms at once.
And this is why everybody that bought MW3 is a moron. Sorry, but it's true.
