The already expansive Awesomenauts roster is getting another addition, and it's a good one that many people have been waiting for. The newest bringer of awesome is called Gnaw, who looks like a cross between a Gremlin and Audrey II (the plant from Little Shop of Horrors).

He has a spit attack that can slow down enemies and deal damage over time (which was one of the requests the developers got from fans) as well as the ability to plant nasty little plants that basically act as turrets. They attack critters and shoot at enemies that get too close and thus are perfect for lane-control, especially since they can be kept alive by a healer. In order to plant one you'll have to first bite your enemy a couple of times though, so you can't just spam them with reckless abandon.

Gnaw is a a pretty agile support character that brings something new to the Awesomenauts table and is just a ton of fun to play. If you're already a fan of Awesomenauts, make sure to give him a shot, and if you're not, go play the game. It's totally worth it.
