New Dead Island: Riptide screens and details revealed during PAX
Dead Island: Riptide was announced during E3 earlier this summer and while few details were given away, we did learn it would be a continuation of the story from the original and it would be a bargain title priced at about $39.99.
Yesterday during the first day of PAX Prime, a few new details about the tropical zombie sequel were revealed, including the fact that the game won’t be taking place in Banoi but rather on a neighbouring island, your character stats from the first game will transfer over, and there will be a new weather system, which will cause some serious flooding. Oh and the game will run on an updated version of Dead Island’s engine.
I know that’s not a whole lot of information but the weather system and fighting a river infested with zombies as you row upstream sounds promising.
