Halo Fest going strong over at PAX and there's some newly announced anniversary maps, functionality changes, and an upcoming Reach update to talk about.
Some revisted Halo Anniversary maps have just been revealed, including Timberland (formerly PC only,) as well as Prisoner's update counterpart called Solitary.
There's also Installation 04, the one Firefight map in the game which is fully playable. It's inspired by the second level from the first game. Something new for this map is that NPC ally characters, the ODSTs, join Firefight against enemies.
Another new feature is for those of you with 3D TVs. Now you can play the single-player campaign in 3D, however it only works for the new graphics mode. Swapping back to classic sends you automatically back to 2D.
Finally, as Halo Anniversary uses the Halo: Reach multiplayer infrastructure, so the mid-September Reach update will be good news for fans of both games.
