New Kirby game announced for 3DS!
Editor's Note: Updated with the Springboard video and a working header image.
We haven't heard from gaming's favorite psychopath in a while now. Luckily, Nintendo is remedying this with a new Kirby game for the Nintendo 3DS. Little is known about it (we don't even have a title for it) other than it will be coming on the 3DS in 2014 and feature something along the lines of the super transformations from Kirby's Return to Dream Land.
As a fan of the pink psycho puffball, I'm happy to see him back, but I'm not happy to see the visual style in the game. Then again, I haven't been a fan of the way many of Nintendo's games look lately, but I digress. What do you think of this reveal for a new Kirby title?
Eventually I'd like to see a Kirby adventure set in a 3d environment similar to Mario 64.
Re-using assets from Return to Dream Land, I see. I am disappoint.
i love because everyone mention dkcr for the back foreground mechanic but the first nintendo game that was using it was wario land...on virtua boy...
Meh, so far it looks just like Return to Dreamland. But that Beetle stab move was awesome so I'll probably get it.
Spot on. It looks good for a 3DS game but it looks JUST like Return to Dreamland....just on 3DS
The art styles alright, I'm just happy with Kirby's texture(HES SO PLUSH) but yeah, I pretty much like everything about this game so far. I'm excited for the new copy abilities and whatever the hell that awesome super transformation Kirby went into near the end.(Kirby to Buu: AND THIS IS TO GO BEYOND!! *Inhales Buu)
Hm... ya know, after the whole 2DS shtick Nintendo got announced, I knew tons of fans (including myself partially) would be a bit annoyed at how the 3D was essentially expendable. But this Kirby game shows the 3D is important to some games, and hopefully this trend of more 3D based games will help Nintendo debunk some naysayers.
It's been too long since my last Kirby game, but this one interests me with the background and foreground DKCR mechanics.
The art style reminds me of Return to Dreamland.
Technically: Yes Aesthetically: No
You get a time out.
This game's gonna...suck... Eh? Eh?
Imagine the next Kirby game made by Rockstar, well a man can dream
You're not a fan of the art style? Because I think it looks gorgeous. Not really sure what to make of the game just yet, but I do like the foreground and background switching. Unfortunately, that part also reminded me of the Donkey Kong Country delay they announced a few minutes prior to this trailer.
