Nintendo 3DSXL is getting its own Circle Pad Pro
So since the announcement of the 3DS XL a few days ago, many have been bewildered by Nintendo's decision not to add a second Circle Pad , me included. Of course there was plenty of comments that joked and laughed about the prospect of a Circle Pad Pro XL being released for the new 3DS XL. Well, it's coming and by my calculations the 3DSXL will be so big with it attached it can be technically classified as a weapon.
There are no pictures of this monster yet, but im sure it should be roughly around the size of a small dog.
Nintendo announced in Japanese magazine, Famitsu, that the Circle Pad Pro XL will be released later in the year in Japan, with no word of a American or European release.
Honestly, I am still bemused to why Nintendo just doesn't add another Circle Pad to it, there is a big empty space now on the 3DSXL for it, so, what are you thinking Nintendo? Sure, you could say not enough games use a second circle pad on the 3DS, but I'm sure if you added it to the actual hardware instead of making it just an accessory a lot more games would take advantage of it!
Plus, how are children or people with tiny hands going to hold this monster?

Are people actually THAT stupid to think that Nintendo will just add another circle pad to existing hardware? Seriously people, wake up and think. If they added another circle pad it would be considered a new console and Nintendo isn't releasing another portable just yet. So until we get the Nintendo NGP, you can just get adjusted to just one circle pad. You should know better by now. Really??

I seriously don't know why Nintendo didn't just add the second circle pad to the XL... just a really dumb move.

I don't think it's for the Japanese and children, it's for giants like me how felt like they'd break the original if they weren't careful. My hands would get worn for having to press the R buttons all the time in Zelda and Starfox, so it was amazingly uncomfortable for me.

I don't care what everyone is saying. They should of either included a second circle pad or not made the 3DS XL at all. Its so pointless. I have no problem with the size of the 3DS. If they were going to make a bigger version they should of made a better resolution screen and included a second circle pad (at least one of those two).

Listen guys. If they had included a second circle pad, developers wouldn't HAVE to use it. It's the same as the circle pad pro. If they want to include support for it they can, but they don't have to. Nintendo was wrong not to include a second circle pad. It won't "divide the market" or whatever. They could have just made a rule that you can't make people use the 2nd circle pad. It made more sense than this. This is nonsense.

3 reasons I will get XL when it comes out: Better overall topscreen esign. No longer use the matierial that gets your finger prints all over it, and ti doesnt get to long-ass scratches from the touhscreen border just from closing it. Longer Battery-life I guess the biggerscreen is kinda cool too.

More like throw a ton of money down the drain in the first 3DS design if they included it. Adding in a 2nd circle pad will render the original 3DS obsolete.

they might as well have made the 3DS XL with a huge, big gaping hole at the bottom right, everyone wants it to have a circle pad pro, so make them buy it when they buy a console that looks incomplete
