Nintendo Direct talks about the new 3D Mario on Wii U, Mario Kart Wii U, Yarn Yoshi, Smash Bros. details, and more!

In the latest Nintendo Direct we had a ton of new games revealed for Wii U, but very little information on them. Iwata mentioned that most of the details for these games will be revealed at E3 and some will even be playable. Here are the highlights:
- Nintendo is working on a new Zelda, but until they can figure that out, they’ve decided to re-release WindWaker in HD! Craig has a pretty great gallery up about this. Expect more details in the lead up to E3.
- There will be a new 3D Mario game on Wii U and it is scheduled to be playable on the show floor of E3.
- There is also a new Mario Kart game on Wii U and it is scheduled to be playable on the show floor of E3 as well.
- Sakurai will reveal some major information regarding Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS at E3.
- The team behind Kirby’s Epic Yarn is now working on a Yoshi game in the same universe. No word on its E3 presence. Craig has a pretty great gallery up about this as well.
- Wii U Party is coming out. Yuuuupppp…..
- There is a new game coming from Monolith Soft on Wii U that looks like a spiritual successor to Xenoblade. You can watch the trailer here.
- New trailers for Shin-Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem (what is this madness?!), Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2, and Nintendo Direct.
I guess Nintendo doesn’t want you to forget about your Wii U when Orbis and Durango are revealed. Well that is a ton of Nintendo news this morning, is everyone satisfied? Or were you hoping for something more?

This Nintendo direct was just awesome. That said, I can't help but feel a bit angry at Nintendo for keeping the EarthBound announcement exclusive to Japan. North america and Europe want to play the game too Nintendo! Why won't you take my money!

Why such negative reactions towards "Party" games? Mario Party has maybe run out of ideas with 9, but Wii Party was refreshing. My son's playing it now, lol. It may not be a "hardcore gamers" game of choice (no blood? no shooting? no fun!), but it's a great game to sit down with a group of friends and have a blast with. Little ideas like the hide-and-seek wiimote game are WAY more fun than they sound. I'm looking forward to picking up this one!

This was a fucken great nintendo direct. So much cool stuff was announced/showed. It actually made me consider buying a WiiU. Plus the fact that Super Metroid is going to be 30 cents in May or June or something is awesome. ( Still need to play that game xD)
