The Nintendo Gamecube
Most people chose the PS2 last generation. The Gamecube was even beaten by the newcomer Xbox. Here's what you may have been missing.
Firstly I'd like to say that a lot of Gamecube games have graphically aged better than PS2 and Xbox games.
Secondly, those monkey ball skills are out if this world.
Great episode :) Gamecube and GameSack ftw!
Gamecube definitely has a lot more awesome under the hood than most may think. It has more memorable titles than a lot of the other consoles I think. Great video, guys. Please don't leave us.
I still have mine and I love it. Although my Wii makes the Gamecube redundant I'm not going to get rid of it, way too many memories tied with that guy. Heck, I got it release day after waiting at Walmart for hours on end until midnight rolled around on a school night.
Also, that Super Monkey Ball montage was freaking awesome.
All I wanted as a kid was a gamecube but my mom got me an xbox, oh well, I still have some fond memories of the xbox. :)
I still own my original gamecube w/ gameboy player, plus a black one with another gameboy player just because I found it for $15, so I agree that everyone should pick one up since they are really cheap, and the library is awesome. Also a ton of previously exclusive DC games got ported over like Sonic Adventure, Skies of Arcadia, Ikaruga... etc. and they were enhanced ports, heh take that Joe.
The Gamecube was MY first video game system
Favorite game? Sonic Adventure 2: Battle
What? It was on the Dreamcast,WELL THIS VERSION WAS BETTER!
Also,Wind Waker,Powered Tennis,Animal Crossing,Final Fantasy Chronicles
Thank you guys for making this episode,My favorite so far
I certainly don't regret getting mine...
In college I don't know how many hours my roommates and I "wasted" on monkey target and monkey bowling. We spent days trying to convert a 7-10 split and I have to say I got it once.
The Gamecube was my console of choice that gen... I didn't regret it. It didn't have as many exclusives as the PS2, but it certainly had more worthwhile games than the Xbox.
